Last year, on October 27, we witnessed unspeakable horror for the three congregations within Pittsburgh’s Tree of Life building. The murder of 11 innocent Jews at prayer represented the worst of humanity. The following weekend, we saw the best as around the world, millions of people of all faiths rallied around AJC’s #ShowUpForShabbat initiative, packing synagogues in what became the largest-ever expression of solidarity with the American Jewish community.
Your synagogue may have been among those who welcomed so many guests from across your community into your sanctuary and we are deeply grateful for the role you played in that historic moment of solidarity. On the one-year anniversary, AJC is again calling on all people of good conscience to #ShowUpForShabbat. We hope you will join us in once again welcoming interfaith guests to join you in worship, remembrance and community.
We invite you to sign on as a participating synagogue to honor the victims and raise our collective voice for a world free of antisemitism, hate, and bigotry.
Please join us in #ShowUpForShabbat October 25-26 using the form below.
